Hogwarts came to Worksop last week as children at Gateford Park Primary School celebrated all things Harry Potter with a week of activities inspired by the popular young wizard and his magical school.

The week started with the mystery of the missing photograph with all the children taking part in a creative writing task.

Tuesday was magic workshop day with a magician coming in to work with each class and then put on a show for the whole school which will showcase some of the magic learned by the children.

Also on Tuesday evening, there was a team murder mystery event for adults and children with clues placed around the school.

Another adult and child event on the Wednesday saw everyone making a page for Gateford’s grisly spell book.

On Thursday the wizard storyteller came to visit and hold sessions with the children.

The week finished with a dress up day and running a Hogwarts magic fair.

There was also a book fair running all week.

As well as children and staff, members of the PTFA were also involved in running the week.
