A production of Calendar Girls at the Acorn Theatre by Whitwell Players is donating a percentage of its royalties to Leukaemia and Lyphoma Research.

Based on true events Calendar Girls tells the story of 11 members of the WI who posed for a ‘nude’ calendar to raise money for a settee at Skipton General Hospital.

Calendar Girls follows the ladies who join together to carry out this endeavour but at the same time who’s friendships are challenged.

The production opens on 9th October to 12th October at 7.15pm. Tickets are £8 and available from the venue or by calling 01909 501817 or 07766055317.

The Whitwell Players are also producing a nude calendar of their own. This will be on sale for £5 at the show or available via Facebook on Calendar Girls Style Calendar page at the end of September.

Money from the sales will be donated to Leukaemia and Lyphoma Research.
