Did you see the driver who knocked a teenage cyclist off his bike in Worksop but did not stop?

Police are appealing for information about the hit and run which happened on Tuesday 7th May 2013.

The 18-year-old was riding towards the junction of Sunfield Avenue, off Sheperds Avenue, at around 3.20pm.

A car, thought to be a blue Ford, struck the rear wheel of his bike sending him crashing to the floor.

He suffered injuries to his arm but fortunately was not seriously hurt.

The car drove down Sunfield Avenue without stopping.

PC Greg Harden from Worksop Police Station has appealed for the driver, or anyone who saw what happened, to call him direct.

“The motorist may not have realised what he did but I cannot stress how easily this collision could have caused serious injuries to the cyclist, who was just left at the scene,” said PC Harden.

“If you are the driver or if you saw the collision call me on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
