A TRULY unforgettable day’s is coming to RAF Waddington next month.

More than 130,000 visitors will enjoy the two day extravaganza of the RAF Waddington International Air Show on Saturday 2nd July and Sunday 3rd July.

The Worksop Guardian has tickets for each day, worth £130 each, to give away to two lucky readers.

RAF Waddington is the Royal Air Force’s home of surveillance and reconnaissance and is situated three miles south of the historic cathedral city of Lincoln.

It is the largest of all RAF air shows and offers a day’s entertainment for the whole family.

Enjoy the fabulous seven-hour flying display, packed with aircraft and display teams from around the world.

The display will include the unforgettable Red Arrows, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, the Falcons parachute display and many others, including the fabulous Thunderbirds, the USAF national display team.

The Air Show includes an extensive range of ground displays and over 250 trade stalls, craft marquees, a traditional funfair, classic cars and vintage military vehicles, two exhibition hangars with hands-on exhibits from the RAF as well as the Royal Navy, the Royal Marine Commandos and the Army.

There is something for everyone. There is even a chance to enjoy the thrill of a helicopter pleasure flight and see a magnificent bird’s eye view of the air show and the local area.

A large number of catering outlets and bars provide an excellent variety of food and refreshments.

The main purpose of the show is to raise public awareness and understanding of the RAF and its role today. All proceeds are donated to RAF and local charities.

Advance admission tickets are now on sale at www.waddingtonairshow.co.uk. Groups of 10+ visitors can purchase tickets on a sale-or-return basis.

The Worksop Guardian has a vehicle pass for Saturday and one for Sunday to give away.

Each pass will admit a vehicle and up to five people inside it to the show on the date stipulated.
