HOPE for Homeless is looking for volunteers next week to help with a new furniture and clothes warehouse in Retford.

The charity has leased a warehouse from Bassetlaw Council to expand what it currently does in Worksop.

HOPE’s chief executive officer Sandy Smith said they hope to open up the new premises before the end of the month.

“The new shop in Worksop has provided a real cost-effective alternative shopping experience for the people of the town, and we want to replicate that in Retford. We even have a bit of a twist planned,” she said.

“There’s a lot of work to do before we can open. It won’t be clean work, but it will be worthwhile and we will provide the tea and sandwiches.”

Anyone who would like to help HOPE gut the new premises at Canal Side Industrial Estate on Leverton Road, Retford, on Monday 14th, Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th November is asked to call Sandy or Sarah on 01909 531294.
