Residents are invited to have their say on Bolsover District Council’s Local Plan and how they want to see the area grow and develop over the next 15 to 20 years.

The council begins a six week public consultation from October 30 on a vision of what the district will be like in 2033. This includes its 16 objectives, and where new development should be located, how much housing should be built, how much employment land should be provided and the four large sites earmarked for inclusion for housing and employment.

Drop-in exhibitions from 4pm to 7pm on different dates in November include the following:

South Normanton Post Mill Centre, November 3; Bolsover Assembly Rooms, November 9; The Arc, at Clowne, November 10; Creswell Social Centre, November 12; Whitwell Community Centre, November 16; Barlborough Village Hall, November 19; Glapwell Community Centre, November 24; and Shirebrook Leisure Centre, November 27.

Comments can be made online at www.bolsover.gov.uk/new-local-plan or on a form and must be returned to the Council by 5pm, on December 11.

Copies of the consultation document, together with representation forms can be found at www.bolsover.gov.uk/new-local-plan and the District’s four Contact Centres and seven libraries.
