A new town centre store which has been burgled twice in the past month is offering a cash reward for information leading to the conviction of the raiders.
Vape, an electronic cigarette store which opened on Newcastle Avenue in Worksop around three months ago, was first broken into on Wednesday 18th June.
They broke into the back of the shop after smashing a window and made off with around £2,000 worth of items, including a laptop, but were never caught by police.
And now manager Daniel France says he is ‘desperate’ to get to the bottom of the matter after Vape was burgled a second time in the early hours of Tuesday 8th July.
He said: “At around 3am ,I had a call alerting me to what had happened.”
“When we were raided last time, we boarded up the back of the shop to prevent it happening again.”
“But they had ripped the boards off and got inside the building somehow.” “The alarms had sounded which must have scared them a little and prompted them to grab whatever they could from the shop.”
“They completely ransacked the stockroom towards the back of the building and a few items from the front of the shop as well.”
“Approximately £1,000 worth of stock had been taken this time.”
“We’ve only been open three months and are absolutely sick of this
“We’re desperate to get to the bottom of it and appealing to the Worksop community for help.”
