More than 200 weapons were handed in during Notts Police’s first gun amnesty in a decade.
Weapons handed in included 46 shotguns, 17 rifles, 34 air rifles, 78 handguns/pistols/revolvers, two stun guns, two airsoft weapons and four imitation/replica weapons.
The force launched the first firearms amnesty in a decade on Monday 3rd March.
It aimed to remove illegal weapons off the streets as well as weapons being held in ignorance that could potentially be used for criminal activity.
It was also an opportunity for those with legal weapons to dispose of them safely if they no longer wanted them.
