UPDATE: Death of a man found in his Gainsborough flat is believed to not be suspicious

Lincs Police are still treating the death of a man in Gainsborough as unexplained but it is not believed to be suspicious.

The body of the man, thought to be in his 20s, was found at a flat in Colonial Quarter, Marshalls Rise, Gainsborough, around 6.45pm on Saturday, April 16.

Results of a post mortem examination proved inconclusive and the police are awaiting toxicology results but investigating officers do not believe the death to be suspicious.

A 27-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the incident has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
