The Bassetlaw branch of UKIP are holding an informal public meeting in a Shireoaks pub.

The group will be at the Hewett Arms from 6.30pm on Sunday 6th October, for ‘an informal evening of debate and fact finding.’

Guest speakers on the evening will be East Midlands MEP Roger Helmer, and the party’s regional organiser Don Ransome.

Group chairman Dave Scott said the meeting would be a chance “to tell us what sort of Britain you would like to live in.”

He added that the event would give people a chance to find out about the party beyond the high-profile figures represented in the media.
