Two people were arrested after Lincolnshire Police were called to an illegal rave in Saxilby.

It is thought that around 15 people were involved at the gathering on Saturday 20th December.

Two men were arrested in connection with drugs offences - a 33-year-old man on suspicion of possession of class B drugs and a 28-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply - and were later bailed pending further enquiries.

The road was closed at the A57/Skellingthorpe Road and at the crossing to prevent access to the site. Officers authorised to carry tasers were part of the number who attended and shut the event down. Tasers were produced but were not used.

Officers would like to warn anyone thinking of holding or attending any similar event that the police response will be swift and will legislation will enforced as appropriate.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing and a number of lines of enquiry are still being carried out.
