A VOLUNTEER’S continued work in the community and love of singing has led to a regular spot on national television.

Evangelist David Ward, who chairs Worksop’s Hope for Homeless, amongst other charity work, began presenting his own show last week on satellite channel Revelation TV.

Faithfully Yours looks into contemporary social issues.

“We aim to entertain, inform and challenge,” said David, who is pictures above.

“It’s not a feel good programme, it’s got a certain edge to it.”

The father-of-three said he would like to highlight the work of Hope for Homeless, with a view of “seeking to improve” the situation, despite the charity having its £144,000 a year funding cut from Notts County Council.

“This is an example of the big society which we are asking people to join in and help out but we are having the ground cut under our feet.”

“So much so that it would mean that there is the strong possibility of closing the homeless shelter and putting people back on the street.”
