Lindrick Players will proudly present their latest show Inspector Drake & the Perfekt Crime.

From Wednesday 17th until Friday 19th October the popular local amateur dramatic society will take to the stage with this hilarious comedy at Carlton Civic Centre.

When a genius commits a murder the plan is perfect. But is it fool proof?

The legendary Inspector Drake, played by Richard Fletcher, and his loyal Sergeant (Brady Mould) are back to face their greatest ever challenge, as they attempt to unravel a plot with more twists in it than a really twisty thing.

Who is the mysterious Doctor Short? Has he murdered his fourth wife – or did she murder him first?

Has he really got two daughters called Sabrina, or is one of them telling porkies?

Where is Frank the taxi driver?

And what was the Pope doing in the woods?

These are just some of the questions facing the world’s most famous Dick, as he gropes for the answer to the perfect crime.

“The audience will be in for a treat,” said Lindrick Players secretary and one of the main characters in the play, Brady Mould.

“The play is a very funny one, with almost a slapstick feel. They will hopefully be able to tell that when things are going wrong it’s all in the script.”

Brady said rehearsals have been going well, and all the cast and production crew are very much looking forward to putting the show onto the stage.

The Lindrick Players cast also includes John Murdoch, Sarah Hemsall, Helen Stephenson and a stuffed warthog named Victoria.

Audiences are promised a roaring good time at the Carlton Civic Centre, Long Lane, in Carlton, near Worksop.

The show starts at 7.30pm. Advance tickets are priced at a reduced rate of £5.50 adults, £4 concessions.

Tickets bought on the door will cost £6.50 adults, £4.50 concessions.
