A charity that helps parents is holding a toy sale so people can bag a bargain before Christmas.

The Basssetlaw branch of the National Childbirth Trust is run by volunteers and on Thursday, November 26 there will be an evening toy sale at the Crossing Church and Centre on Newcastle Street between 7.15 and 9pm.

NCT’s aim is to create a world in which parents are valued and supported to build a strong society, believing that a child’s early years significantly impact upon the future they help to shape.

Nicola Livesy, deputy branch co-ordinator said: “Without NCT I would never have met my friends, I had a reason to leave the house to go and parents groups and it kept me sane.

“The toy sale is a way of giving back to people who may need to save money before Christmas and freeing up sapce for other parents so its win win really.”
Tables cost £8 and that money will go back into the charity and any money made by the stall holders belongs to them.
