Three arrested over Hemswell Cliff phone cables

THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of attempting to steal overhead telephone lines in Hemswell Cliff.

Police officers were called to the village in the early hours of Thursday morning to reports that offenders were cutting down phone lines outside the Post Office.

They arrested two 26-year-old men and one 30-year-old man a short time later.

The men are currently helping police with their enquiries.
