National Savings Stamps

National Savings & Investments was founded in 1861 as the Post Office Savings Bank and was used during both the First and Second World War as a means of allowing ordinary workers to provide for themselves.

It was transferred from the Post Office to the Treasury, changing its name to National Savings in 1969. Brought in by Mr Foulds.
