Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A57 in Beighton yesterday morning.
At around 11.24am on Friday 7 August, it was reported that two vehicles, a black Leon Seat and a silver or grey BMW, were travelling towards Rotherham along the A57.
Around 800 metres before the junction with Rotherham Road, the black Leon Seat was involved in a collision with a white Renault van that was travelling in the opposite direction towards Sheffield.
The driver of the Seat Leon, a 19-year-old man, suffered multiple injuries and was taken to hospital but sadly died.
The front seat passenger in the Seat Leon, a 19-year-old woman from Aston, suffered serious spine and facial injuries and was taken to hospital.
The driver of the van, a 41-year-old man from Dinnington, suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to hospital.
Officers would like to trace the driver of the silver or grey BMW, which may have witnessed the collision.
Police are also keen to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the manner of driving of the vehicles prior to the collision.
