CLUBS AND GROUPS

DINNINGTON Floral Art Society: This year we are celebrating the Ruby Anniversary of our club with an exciting calendar of events. National demonstrators, Barry Grey and Tony Brown will be at the Lyric Theatre in May and November respectively. On 29th September we are having a Ruby Celebration Dinner and Cabaret. If you like flowers and would like to come along and see what we do you will be very welcome. Visitors £5 on the door or for £25 you could become a member for the year. We meet at 7.15pm on the second Thursday of the month at The Resource Centre, Laughton Road, Dinnington. Details Tel. as above.

ANSTON WI: July 25th, Black Diamonds, The Wentworth family by Martin Johnson. Vote of thanks Carol Kenworthy, tea hostesses Mary Pinchbeck and Maureen Hunter. Monthly at the Parish Hall, Ryton Road, North Anston. Meetings are the 4th Monday of each month at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome. The annual subscription is £30. No charge for visitors.

Admission £3 with lucky number on ticket. Tai Chi demonstration 12noon, flower arranging demonstration 2pm. ASTON Cum Aughton History Group: Meets on the first and third Mondays of the month at the William Layne Reading Room, Aughton Lane, Aston from 7-9pm. The group also have speakers on local history and these events are open to visitors. These evenings are advertised in the local church magazine.
