Small army to help with colossal cake sale

A TEAM of volunteers will be joining in the annual Help for Heroes Colossal Cake Sale, to raise money for the Help for Heroes cause.

The event will be taking place on Saturday 2nd April, 10am until 3pm outdoors in the Priory Centre, in Worksop town centre.

Volunteer county coordinator Tony Eaton and volunteer local coordinator Marie Townrow, who both cover the Notts area, will be alongside other Help for Heroes volunteers on the day.

There will be a cake stall, selling treats donated by local shops, businesses and generous locals.

A Help For Heroes merchandise stall will also be on offer for local shoppers.

If any local people would like to put their baking skills in to practice by donating any baking towards the colossal cake sale, the volunteers would be very grateful for any contributions - big or small.

Contact Marie Townrow (01909) 482214 07754 422017 or email marie.townrow@h4hcounty.org.uk.

Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in October 2007 out of a desire to help the wounded service men and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq and provides direct, practical support to those injured in the current conflicts.
