Young pupils enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of science and astronomy activities at Outwood Academy Valley.
The year six pupils from its primary feeder schools took part in the special event.
They got to experiences a host of different activities including watching a comet being made and enjoying a space food snack.
The pupils also launched a rocket and looked at how fuels and explosions are used to propel rockets into space.
As it got darker, the activities moved outside as youngsters were given the chance to use telescopes to take a closer look at the moon.
The aim of the event was to enable pupils to become more familiar with the facilities at Outwood Academy Valley, while taking part in fun and educational activities.
