With the school holidays now underway, our country parks have been lined with people having fun in the sun.

There has been no need to grab your passport and head for the airport this year, temperatures have soared to blistering heats and the sun has certainly brought out the best in people this summer.

These lucky locals have been enjoying a walk in the park, a picnic at The Canch and a water splash at Clumber Park.

And forecasters are predicting the scorching levels will continue for some time yet - so pack your suntan lotion and grab your sunglasses - it’s time to chill in the sun.
