Burglars broke into the Pocket snooker club for the second time in as many weeks to smash open fruit machines and have now been arrested.

Nottinghamshie Police was called to the club in Doncaster Road, Worksop in the early hours of Sunday (August 8) to reports of a burglary in progress.

And after an operation to search for the offenders, owners say two offenders were apprehended on site.

Darrel Martin, 25, of Burnaby Street, Derby, has been charged with burglary and after a court appearance has made conditional bail.

A second man, aged 41, was also arrested on suspicion of burglary and bailed pending further enquiries.

Lisa Taylor-Henson of the club said: "Luckily they were spotted during the night and the police were called and two men were still inside the cellar.

"Two bandits were smashed and doors damaged during the burglary which was a replica of the previous burglary."

"This time they got away with nothing."

Any witnesses who could help police with their enquiries should call 101.
