HAS anyone else spotted the tough time that the River Ryton’s wild-fowl are having?
In two of my lunchtime jaunts to enjoy my Greggs sausage roll in the Canch I’ve spotted a gaggle of ducks making their home in some litter-louts leftovers.
One family seemed to be nesting in a plastic bag, while another lady mallard was sunning herself in an upturned traffic-cone.
Can’t someone get out there and help this poor beaked birds?
I’m not normally one for caring about all creatures great and small, but it was a sight to see.
With the sentences being dished out at the moment by magistrates the louts should watch themselves. They’ll get five to 10 if they’re not careful.
