The U3A (University of Third Age) crafts club in Retford has very generously donated a year’s worth of knitting to HOPE.

Hand knitted items such as; hats, scarves, gloves and blankets have been gratefully received by HOPE for their Emergency Accommodation Hostel in Worksop.

The U3A movement is a unique and exciting organisation which provides life-enhancing and life changing opportunities for those over 50.

There are over 32 different groups within Retford U3A such as, arts, chess and creative writing to name a few, where people can join and be involved in something which interests them.

“We all feel really blessed to have what we have,” said Yvonne Roberts a member of the Retford U3A Crafts Club.

“Therefore we wanted to give back, to those who are homeless and less fortunate than ourselves.”
