POLICE APPEAL: Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of 15-year-old boy in Mansfield collision

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a collision in Mansfield which left a 15-year-old boy with serious injuries.

The 31-year-old male remains in custody while officers investigate the collision between a vehicle and the teenage victim, which happened on Sherwood Hall Road at its junction with Chadburn Road at 9:45pm last night (Saturday, May 14).

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries which although serious are not thought to be life-threatening.

The road was closed this morning but has since been re-opened, it is understood.
