WORKSOP area folk have been busy with new projects and fundraising and the Guardian photographers have been out and about capturing their efforts.

Les and Lynda Windle handed over a donation of £360 to the Help for Heroes charity, raised by Notts and Derbys Whippet Racing Club.

They presented the cheque to Tony Eaton, the charity’s Notts co-ordinator.

Meanwhile Bassetlaw councillor Alan Rhodes presented a cheque for £200 to the Carlton over 50s club to help them with their activities.

Pupils at Clowne Heritage School were in fine voice when they took part in a radio workshop.

And staff at Westwood Primary Care Trust’s surgery in Manton celebrated its official opening.
