NEWS: The Gainsborough Standard

POPULAR organist Phil Brown will play for Gainsborough Organ Society next Thursday 23rd February during their monthly concert.

One of the society’s favourite organists, Phil is vastly experienced, having played since the age of 11.

He always performs with a German Böhm organ, and has even represented the maker at festivals world wide.

“Phil has played for us on many occasions and has always played music to suit everyone,” said Peter Naulls from the society.

Phil, from Derbyshire, studied music at university and now teaches it. He became resident organist at the famous Assembly Rooms in Derby - a position he still holds, accompanying stars like Des O’Connor.

The concert is at the Weston Rooms, Hickman Street, Gainsborough at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome and payment on the door is £4 members / £5.50 visitors.
