A microwave fire in Kiveton was one of the emergencies attended by fire crews during Friday’ firefighters’ strike.
Crews were called at 1.28pm to a property in Victoria Close, Kiveton Park. The microwave fire had already been put out.
A woman in her 90s was taken to hospital as a precaution. She was surrering from slight smoke inhalation.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue attended two other incidents during the strike action between 12 noon and 5pm.
Contingency crews dealt with an out-of-control garden fire in Edlington, Doncaster, and an allotment shed fire in Darfield, Barnsley.
Notts Fire and Rescue said it attended four incidents during the strike.
Contingency crews pulled a person from a flat fire in Mansfield Woodhouse and rescued a casualty from a car crash in bingham.
They also dealt with a rubbish fire.
