A SUMMER Afternoon: will be held on Sunday 22nd July from 12.30-5pm in the courtyard of Hodsock Priory. Also there will be the opportunity to visit the beautiful grounds of Hodsock Priory. The event is in aid of the orphan children and the poor of Father Showry’s Diocese in South India.

WORKSOP and District Pensioner’s Association: Meets on the second Wednesday of each month in a private room at The Crossing Church and Centre, 2-4pm. Provides entertainment and enjoyment for everyone aged 60 and over. Entertainment includes talks and demonstrations on a variety of subjects, social events, bingo, coach outings, holidays, Christmas Lunch and much more. Bring a friend if you wish. WORKSOP Sea Cadets and Royal Marine Cadets: Needs You! It is a registered charity organisation staffed by volunteers. The Worksop unit consists of up to 40 cadets (male and female) between the ages of 10 and 18. Young people from all backgrounds come to learn and have fun. They also develop skills in many areas including; social, communication, team work, leadership and independence. There are many qualifications to be gained such as; sailing, rowing, power boating, D of E and many more: as well as opportunities to go Off Shore Sailing, go aboard HMS Bristol and take part in many competitions around the country. WORKSOP Wonders WI: New members and visitors always welcome.We welcome ladies of all ages who are interested in meeting others and making new friends. The meeting usually has a speaker, activity or craft demonstration and meets on the second Wednesday in the month at The Crossing Centre, Newcastle Street, Worksop, 7-9.15pm. There is a yearly fee to join of £31.50 and this includes eight magazines during the year. Guests are welcome at a cost of £4 per evening but we welcome ladies to join us for one evening, free of charge. We are looking forward to organising some outings as we progress and members are encouraged to tell us what they would like to see included in the yearly programme. KILTON Pet and Raptor Rescue, Plantation Hill: Open throughout the year for anyone interested in homing unwanted animals or for fostering. The rescue centre is expanding to Lambley in Nottingham and has opened a Farm Park and Falconry Centre, which will be open to the public from 10am-5pm, 7 days a week. Volunteers are always needed.
