WORKSOP

ARTISTS Of Worksop: Members of the society meet every Wednesday 9am-12noon for practical work and general help and discussion. BASSETLAW Amputee Group: Meets every second Tuesday of the month, 10am at The Crossing Church, Worksop. Provides free impartial advice and support to amputees, their carers, friends and family.

BASSETLAW Cardiac Support (Affiliated to The British Heart Foundation): Open to anyone, and their partner, who has undergone or is to undergo heart treatment of any sort.

U3A University Of The Third Age: Open to all older people who are no longer in gainful full-time employment. WORKSOP and District Pensioner’s Association: Meets on the second Wednesday of each month in a private room at The Crossing Church and Centre, 2-4pm. Provides entertainment and enjoyment for everyone aged 60 and over. Entertainment includes talks and demonstrations on a variety of subjects, social events, bingo, coach outings, holidays, Christmas Lunch and much more. Bring a friend if you wish. Membership £4 per year and £1.50 per monthly visit including tea and biscuits and a free raffle ticket. Don’t be shy, just turn up, no need to join on your first visit.
