FROG Racing: Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice presents wooden frog racing, Friday 7th October at The Masonic Hall, Queen Street, Worksop at 7.30pm. Tickets £7 including fish and chip supper. WORKSOP and District Pensioner’s Association: Meets on the second Wednesday of each month in a private room at The Crossing Church and Centre, 2-4pm. Provides entertainment and enjoyment for everyone aged 60 and over. Entertainment includes talks and demonstrations on a variety of subjects, social events, bingo, coach outings, holidays, Christmas Lunch and much more. Bring a friend if you wish. WORKSOP Miners Welfare Band: We run rehearsals at the Miners Welfare on Gateford Road on Mondays for the training band 7-7.30pm, and Wednesdays for the main band 7.30-9pm. We are always looking to make new players welcome and experience is not necessary as we provide free tuition and loan of instrument. We are particularly looking for trombone or bass players.
