BLUEBELL Wood Children’s Hospice urgently require stock and would welcome donations of clothes, shoes and bric-a-brac etc. In addition to good quality stock we can also utilise items classed as rags as we able to sell them on. Any donations would be gratefully received at our charity shop at 76 Bridge Street, Worksop.

PARKINSON’S UK: Another successful month and the branch continues to grow. Three new members joined at the July meeting at which Judy Mayher from Trading Standards gave an excellent presentation about doorstep safety, current scams and junk mail etc. The summer outing takes place on Thursday 21st July with a coach trip to Skegness. The pick-up times are 9am at the Priory Church car park and 9.15am at Kettlewell’s garage in Retford. The coach leaves Skegness at 3.30pm. Members who have not yet booked their seat are urged to ring Chris 01909 730629 as soon as possible. The August meeting at 2pm on the 2nd at Worksop Cricket Club, Central Avenue will welcome Mike Smith talking about the WRVS and emergency planning. A later summer lunch is booked for Monday 19th September at The Station Hotel, Worksop at 12noon.
