BCVS: Dukeries Centre,Park Street: Tuesday Feb 1st, 10am-3pm, free course, Coping with the Cuts, a practical one day workshop for voluntary and community sector organisations wanting to develop their skills, Wednesday 2nd, 10am-3pm, Due Dilligence in Mergers, workshop is intended to give people a ‘safe place’ to consider options and strategies. COOKING on a Budget: The course held at Thievesdale Community Centre, Wed Feb 2nd, 9.30-11.30am and runs for six weeks. Have fun and learn to cook on a budget using fresh seasonal ingredients as well as convenience foods. PARKINSON’S UK: The next meeting of Bassetlaw Branch will be on Tuesday February 1st at Worksop Cricket Club, Central Ave at 2pm, The speaker is Joanne Bushby who is a REIKI Master plus also an insight into Chakra Balancing all of which could be of benefit to people with Parkinson’s. New members, family and carers are warmly welcome to the lively and friendly meetings. CLOWNE Roadrunners: A. Ward started 2011 as he left off last year by winning The Bolsover Castle 10k, other club runners were, P. Roberts, S. Sleney, G. Naylor, G. Shawcroft, J. Clarke, K. Bestwick, M. Spencer, J. Proffitt, N. Inns, K. Smith and G. Carter. Last Sunday was the Clowne cross country handicap run, around 32 members took part in this and first back was M. Russell who won a bottle of wine and this coming sunday its the start of the inter cross country series.
