A PUBLIC consultation on the updated plans for the former Vesuvius site on Sandy Lane has showed that the proposals have overwhelming local support.
In total 895 questionnaires were completed with 97 per cent of respondents saying they were in favour of the plans.
Many residents felt the plans, which include a new supermarket and Worksop Town football stadium, should have given the go ahead when it was originally tabled in 2009.
It will be discussed at a planning committee meeting on 7th September.
