Man ordered to pay £170 after failing to meet vehicle insurance requirements

A man was ordered to pay £170 after he failed to meet his insurance requirements on a vehicle.

Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Wednesday, November 9, how Alan Hall, 43, of Villas Road, Old Bolsover, pleaded guilty to failing to meet his insurance requirements on a vehicle.

Hall told the court that he is a carer for his mum and he is on benefits and has not worked for ten or eleven years.

District Judge Andrew Davison sentenced Hall to a £40 fine and he was also ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £110 costs.
