Maltby: Eight A* GCSE grades for Maltby Academy student

Harry Steele picked up his outstanding results on the morning of Thursday 21st August along with his feelow classmates.

Youngster Fallon Smith also did exceptionally well with 7A* grades.

A spokesperson said: “We are delighted to report another successful year of GCSE results.”

“The key five A*-C grades including maths and English threshold was as predicted at 64 per cent. This was slightly below last year’s record figure but above the 2013 national and reflected Government changes to the performance tables.”

“The English A*-C figure increased to 82 per cent with almost 50 per cent of students making outstanding progress. Similarly maths maintained a strong performance following the exceptional results and outstanding Ofsted judgement in 2013.”
