The most successful musical ever, Les Miserables is famous the world over and Worksop College’s decision to tackle it after a five-yer break was a revolutionary one but also a highly successful one.

Playing to a packed audience for three night in a row, the college students took on then challenge and proved they were all ‘masters of the house’.

Beginning with a very inexperienced cast and a musical director on her first show and some may have questioned the wisdom of taking on something of such epic proportions.

But with raw talent and lots of hard work the result was an unforgettable trio of performances with the cast begging for a chance for ‘one day more’ as the final curtain fell.

A college spokesman said: “There was plenty of evidence of the camaraderie created and nurtured by the cast.

“The team support and spirit have exceeded expectations and the cast and audience sang, in harmonious unison.”
