Dale Catton, 25, of Gateford Glade, Lee Catton, 27, of Claylands Avenue, and Ryan Catton, 25, of Greenfinch Dale, did not indicate a plea when they appeared before magistrates in Mansfield on Tuesday.

The court made a ruling under Section 12 of the Contempt of Court Act that the complainant in the case must not be identified.

The charges relate to comments made by all three brothers on Facebook on May 8.

Simon Greaves, for Dale and Ryan Catton, and Ian Pridham, for Lee Catton, applied for bail.

Magistrates bailed all three until June 14 at Nottingham Crown Court, on condition they remain at the addresses given.

They were also ordered not to contact anyone connected to the case in person, or by social media.

They must also abide by a police-monitored curfew at weekends.
