Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place n a footpath in Manton Woods at around 5.50am.

Officers would like to trace a man who was cycling in the area.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: “He was riding what is believed to be a light blue bike and is described as white, 5’8”, clean shaven, in his 20s, of slim build, wearing an orange hoodie, with a dark coloured hat underneath and dark coloured combat trousers.

“Patrols have been increased in the area.

“If you have any information or think you may know the man please call us on 101, quoting incident 198 of 29 May.”
