Summer reading challenge

Do you love books have spare time to inspire young children to read?

Retford Library is looking for volunteers to support this summer’s reading challenge in a number of libraries across the county.

A total of 8,796 children in Notts took part in the scheme last summer, with 4,973 successfully completed the challenge.

Notts County Council is looking for volunteers aged 14+ to spare around 12 to 15 hours to sign up children to take part in the challenge, listen to children talk about books they have read and hand out stickers and rewards.

The closing date for applications is 17th May.
