A 40-year-old man who stole equipment to fuel his fishkeeping addiction has been fined £200.

Krzysztaf Krajewski, 40, of Meadowcroft Gardens, Westfield, appeared at Worksop Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 10th July.

He admitted to stealing four fish tank pumps and a coral testing kit, to the value of £315.95, from a store in Retford on Thursday 28th June.

Defence solicitor David Verrity said Krajewski’s hobby had become ‘out of hand’ to the point where he ‘spent more time with his fish than with his own girlfriend.’

Krajewski was fined £200 by Magistrates, ordered to pay £85 court costs and a victim surcharge of £25.
