The Prime Minister is visiting Bassetlaw this morning to outline plans for the controversial gas extraction technique of fracking.

David Cameron has announced that councils that back fracking will get to keep more in tax revenues in a bid to promote drilling.

Environmental groups have called this announcement a ‘bribe’.

French energy giant Total are believed to be ploughing £30m into drilling for gas at two sites in the UK, one of which is in Bassetlaw, near Gainsborough.
