Sir Edmund Hillary pupil Niall Cartwright Goy’s logo was crowned the winning design for the new Worksop Family of Schools logo at a special presentation at Worksop Town Hall.

Niall, pictured centre, was chosen as the winner out of hundeds of entries from the eight primary schools which make up the Worksop family.

Bassetlaw Council young people’s ambassador Coun Rebecca Leigh said she was delighted to see so many families attend the evening.

“The children should be very proud of their efforts in working hard to produce the logo that will represent the Worksop Family of Primary Schools,” she said.

“It is important for the young people of Bassetlaw to feel that their contributions are valued in terms of shaping how things will look in the future and I hope that my role as Young Person’s Ambassador is going some way towards helping them achieve this.”
