A jury has been sworn in ready for the trial of a 16-year-old Worksop boy accused of manslaughter of 40-year-old Glen Kitchens.
The trial was meant to start earlier today (Monday 21st October 2013) at Nottingham Crown Court.
But proceedings were held up by delays in getting the defendant to court from the detention facility where he is in custody.
The youth, who can not be named for legal reasons, denies the unlawful killing of Worksop window fitter Mr Kitchens on Saturday 6th April this year.
Mr Kitchens, from the Sunnyside area of Worksop, died following an incident in Bridge Street at its junction with Central Avenue.
Judge Nigel Godsmack told the dozen jury members that the trial could last up to six days.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) the prosecution will begin its evidence.
