A 42-year-old man is due to appear at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday) charged with attempted burglary.

Paul Rodgers, of Leicester Road, Dinnington, is accused of trying to break into a general store at Lordens Hill, Dinnington, around 10pm on Sunday (5th January).

South Yorkshire Police launched Operation Lockdown in October to combat burglary and vehicle crime and so far more than 700 suspects have been arrested.
