An Easter fun day is being held at Clowne Community Centre from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, 19th April.
The event is to help raise funds to send 30 local children from five schools around the area on a trip to Namibia in Africa later this year.
The trip will see the British children spend a week helping to build a playground for the local Namibian youngsters.
They will then spend a further week trekking in the desert.
However, to make the trip, each child must raise £1,500.
To that end, they have been engaging in numerous fund-raising events over the past six months.
And they hope a combination of weather and local support will see them raise another good amount towards the cause.
To help tempt people down to the event on Recreation Close in Clowne, there will be a wide variety of stalls and attractions on offer, including an Easter egg hunt and Easter hat competition.
There will also be pony rides, craft stalls, flower stalls, a tombola and a raffle.
In addition, there will also be a bouncy slide, a tug of war competition and the Army cadets will also be there.
And for something a little more unusual, some local body builders will be doing some tyre flipping.
