Business: Newly refurbished Kwik Fit store up and running in Worksop

The car servicing and repair company, on Newcastle Avenue, has been fully refurbished from the garage floor up, following new investment.

Councillor Madelaine Richardson, Bassetlaw District Council vice-chairman, attended the grand reopening.

She said: “The investment Kwik Fit has poured into the local centre is very good news for Worksop and its motorists.

“The town is fortunate the company selected the Worksop branch for refurbishment, with all the latest technology and equipment, over hundreds of others.

“It’s commendable that there’s an apprenticeship scheme in place to give young people a helping hand by creating jobs and giving them some valuable career skills.

“I hope young people in Worksop will see the benefit and apply for the programme.”

The reception area of the branch has been completely redesigned to promote a “more welcoming and customer-friendly environment”.

The revamped centre says it will also continue to offer the full range of services from Kwik Fit – famed for its advertising slogan “you can’t get better than a Kwik Fit fitter” – including tyres, exhausts, brakes, MoT testing, car servicing and air conditioning and windscreen repair.

Sam Raisebeck, centre manager, said: “It’s given the staff a real boost that our hard work has been recognised, and that our centre has been given major investment.

“All the team at the Worksop branch take great pride in our work and now we have a working environment that matches our ambition to deliver the best possible service.”
