Breaking News: North Anston: 78-year-old fighting for her life after being hit by car

A 78-year-old woman is tonight fighting for her life after being hit by a car in North Anston.

A white Ford Transit van emerged from Woodsetts Road and turned right onto The Baulk, heading towards Nursery Road, where it was in collision with a elderly pedestrian, opposite The Cutler pub, at around 1.35pm on Saturday 2nd August.

The local woman was taken to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield where her injuries are described as ‘life-threatening.’

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.

Anyone with information about the incident should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 621.
