Bolsover Castle is on the look out for local residents with a passion for history to come along to a coffee morning at the castle next Tuesday (4th March) at 9.30am and find out how they can help volunteer to tell the tale of the town’s iconic landmark as part of an exciting new project.
Bolsover Castle has attracted visitors for hundreds of years and the current work to restore, re-imagine and re-interpret the castle and gardens ready for re-opening in April, will encourage more people to visit the town and surrounding countryside.
And they need volunteer explainers to play a central role in helping people from all over the world, acting as the first point of contact for visitors.
They will be the welcoming and friendly face of the castle, equipped with interesting facts, stories and information on the Little Castle and its contents.
To be a part of this, come along on 4th March, call 01793 445009 or visit www.english-heritage.org.uk/volunteering
