Bassetlaw cubs go wild at the big centenary party
The cubs had exclusive use of the venue and joined in a wide range of activities such as land zorbs, a laser maze, a mobile caving system, geocaching, climbing and Frisbee golf while working towards various challenge awards and activity badges.
During the event was a mini 2.5 mile hike around the local area, while a gigantic camp fire, disco and cinema kept the cubs entertained in the evenings.

Poppy Byard, aged nine, from Worksop, said “This has been the best camp ever!
“I’ve met loads of cubs and made new friends. It was loads of fun and I liked rolling around in the Zorb, it really made me laugh.”
Theo McLaughlin, 10, also from Worksop, added, “Camp has been amazing, I’ve loved every minute, I liked cooking pizza on the fire.”
Dan Wood, assistant county commissioner for cubs and chief event organiser, said: “It’s brilliant to be able to celebrate 100 years of cub scouts in such style.
“The cubs have absolutely loved it.”
